Biography

In his professional career Dan Cobb built healthcare information technology companies from startup through exit. As a co-founder of HealthMEDX, he retired as Chief Technology Officer after its sale to private equity. In the beginning of his career, Dan designed the flagship product and oversaw its development and rollout. As the company grew, he managed product development, research, technical support, customer implementation, sales, marketing, as well as the data center. Prior to HealthMEDX, he was an original employee and minority owner of Management Software, which was later purchased by McKesson. His focus at Management Software was primarily the design and development of its software offerings.

While in retirement, Dan spends his spare time volunteering. He is board chair for the Missouri Technology Company (www.missouritechnology.com) which provides startup and seed funding to technology, biotech and ag-tech companies and supports entrepreneurial services organizations throughout the state. He is also board chair Springfield Innovation Inc. which oversees the Jordan Valley Innovation Center as well as the eFactory. He is also board chair of the Mercy Health Foundation and serves as a Missouri State University Foundation Trustee. Dan spends the remainder of his time mentoring startup companies and owns equity in over a dozen local companies in the real estate, restaurant, and technology industries.

He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems (’84) at Missouri State University, Magna cum Laude.
