Biography

In his professional career, Dan Cobb built healthcare information technology companies from startup through exit. As a co-founder of HealthMEDX, he retired as Chief Technology Officer after its sale to private equity. In the beginning of his career, Dan designed the flagship product and oversaw its development and rollout. As the company grew, he managed product development, research, technical support, customer implementation, sales, marketing, as well as the data center. Prior to HealthMEDX, he was an original employee and minority owner of Management Software, which was later purchased by McKesson. His focus at Management Software was primarily the design and development of its software offerings.

While in retirement, Dan spends his spare time volunteering. He currently serves as a Missouri State University Foundation Trustee, chairs its Governance Committee and sits on the Executive Committee. In addition to his service on the Missouri State University College of Business EAC, he serves on the Missouri State University Department of IT and Cybersecurity Advisory Committee. Dan spends the remainder of his time mentoring startup companies and owns equity in over a dozen local companies in the real estate, restaurant, and technology industries.

He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems (’84) at Missouri State University, Magna cum Laude.
