Gary W. Schafer II

Managing Partner - Southern Missouri, FORVIS

Gary is the managing partner of the offices of Forvis Mazars in Springfield, Joplin and Branson, Missouri. Forvis Mazars is one of the ten largest accounting and advisory firms in the United States, and one of the ten largest global networks of accounting firms. Gary is responsible for the administration, planning, personnel and operations of nearly 350 partners, client service staff and administrative personnel, who serve approximately 7,000 businesses and individual clients. Gary currently serves on the national Governing Board for Forvis Mazars.

As a leader of the commercial audit practice for Forvis Mazars, Gary served more than 20 years providing audit and advisory services to manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers. Gary consults with business leaders on a wide range of financial issues and helps companies improve their business through better budgeting, forecasting, and other financing matters.

Gary currently serves on the executive committee of the Downtown Council of Champions and of LORE (Leaders for Ozarks Regional Evolvement). He is also on the Board of the Forvis Mazars Southern Missouri Foundation and supports personnel to find their passion for giving back to the community through volunteering and serving on nonprofit boards.

Gary is a 1996 graduate of the Honors College at Missouri State University, Springfield, with a B.S. degree in accounting.
